B&A Flooring was founded in 2024, but our roots in the flooring industry run much deeper. After working in flooring for years, Tracey Leary and her daughter Kayla Basnight took over the business, carrying on a tradition of expertise and customer-focused service.

When Tracey and Kayla took over the business, they chose the name B&A Flooring after Kayla’s children, a reflection of their dream to build something that would last for generations. Their goal is to create a thriving, family-operated business where one day, Kayla’s children will work alongside them, learn the trade, and eventually take over —continuing the tradition of quality flooring and exceptional service in Elizabeth City.
